AUTOMATIC STOPPING DEVICE FOR MAINTENANCE VEHICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic stopping device for a maintenance vehicle facilitating both the installation and the maintenance management of a ground device, capable of releasing the vehicle for control without depending on visual confirmation by a driver and further preventing the occurrence of an indexing accident and an accident caused by errors in installation and removal. SOLUTION: An automatic stopping device brakes a maintenance vehicle 7 automatically braked when both the advancing direction of the maintenance vehicle and the opening direction of a branch unit are determined to be not in alignment with each other in reference to both passing position information about the branch unit read by a vehicle indoor control box 12 through an antenna 8 and a scanner 10 and opening direction information accompanied by the conversion of the branch unit transmitted to a ground control box 1 through a detecting unit 4 when the maintenance vehicle 7 passes immediately above a ground element 6 storing an RF-ID tag having in advance the passing positional information for the branch unit written therein.
