PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a passage searching method and a passage searching program capable of searching a substitute passage superior next to a plurality of most superior passage information besides the most superior passage information in a public traffic network. SOLUTION: The most superior passage information is generated by DIJKSTRA'S ALGORITHM by using a link table storing a starting station, an arrival station, required time and a distance up to the arrival station from the starting station and a bridge table of storing a position of a record of the link table with the starting station of the link table as the arrival station. A substitute passage is generated on the basis of a passage searched in its generating process, and the substitute passage is corrected by a GA method, and a plurality of substitutable passage superior next to the most superior passage information are searched.
