摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core/shell composite microparticle in which the core comprises a nanosize platy silica microparticle and the shell comprises a fluoropolymer comprising units derived from a fluoromonomer, to provide its production method, and to provide its use. SOLUTION: What is provided is: composite microparticles each comprising a nanosize platy silica microparticle surface-coated with a fluoropolymer comprising units derived from a fluoromonomer and each containing such platy silica microparticle in a proportion of 1 to 70 mass%; a method for preparing the composite microparticles comprising radically polymerizing a fluoromonomer in a polymerization system in which platy silica microparticles are dispersed in an aqueous medium in the presence of a surfactant; and a molding material containing the composite microparticles.
