PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a planting case lighter, to enhance the assembling operation efficiency and to ensure high sealability in an apparatus for planting seedlings of a rice transplanter obtained by connecting the front end of the planting case equipped with a planting mechanism 4 at the rear in a rearward cantilever state to an oblong planting frame and interlockingly connecting an input shaft transversely installed at the front of the planting case through a transmission means in the planting case to a planting driving shaft transversely installed at the rear of the planting case. SOLUTION: The apparatus for planting the seedlings is constituted as follows. The planting case 8 is composed of an integrally formed cylindrical state long in the front and rear and a partition wall 8d for dividing the interior of the planting case into the front and rear is located between the front end connecting part relatively to the planting frame 6 and a shaft supporting site of the input shaft 20 in the planting case 8 and integrally formed.
