<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional display in which a three-dimensional image is formed which is recognized without giving physiologic discomfort by using a light beam similar to natural light. <P>SOLUTION: In the three-dimensional display 10A, a two-dimensional displayed image according to an image signal is formed by a two-dimensional display part 1, the wave front r0 of the displayed image light from the two-dimensional display part 1 is transformed into a wave front r1 having such curvature as to focus on a focal position CC at the position which becomes an optical path length equal to the optical path length L1 from an arbitrary view point to a virtual object point B with a lens array 3. An observer obtains proper focal length information in addition to information regarding binocular parallax and a convergence angle. Thus, the information regarding binocular parallax and the convergence angle and the proper focal length information are harmonized, and the observer recognizes a desired three-dimensional image without having the physiologic discomfort. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
