<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid film excellent in transparency and planarity, having adequate moisture permeability, having good adhesiveness to PVA which is a polarizer and adequate elastic modulus for handling as a film, scarcely causing dimensional change and excellent in durability and to provide a method for producing the hybrid film and to provide an optically compensatory film, a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display device by using the hybrid film. <P>SOLUTION: A dope solution in which a cellulose acylate and a cycloolefin compound having a mass-average molecular mass of from 200 to 20,000 are dissolved in admixture is subjected to solution film forming to obtain a hybrid film. Further, an optically anisotropic layer having retardation Re of from 0 nm to 200 nm is provided on the hybrid film to prepare an optically compensatory film. The optically compensatory film and a polarizer are stuck to each other to prepare a polarizing plate which is then used to obtain a liquid crystal display device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
