PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an "image display device for a vehicle" capable of more accurately displaying, in an easily viewable manner, an obstacle or the like present around a vehicle and notifying a driver of danger in advance. SOLUTION: The image display device 100 for the vehicle includes: a plurality of imaging cameras 102-108 for picking up an image around the vehicle; an image processing section 110 for compositing an image signal by converting image signals from the imaging cameras into image signals in looking down the vehicle from upper points of view; a display means 118 for displaying the image signal processed by the image processing section 110; and a vehicle information acquisition section 112 for acquiring vehicle information indicating the traveling state of the vehicle. The image processing section 110 further includes a determination means (116) for determining the driving state of the vehicle on the basis of the vehicle information from the vehicle information acquisition section 112 and a change means (116) for changing the boundary of an image signal to be composited on the basis of the determination result of the determination means.
