PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a "disk storing disk drive" which can improve the operation efficiency from inserting a disk on the tray to reproducing them and can be made small by sharing the mechanical power generating means. SOLUTION: Each of the supports 21 provided in a case 2 has holding members 26, 27, and 28 and the disks D are retained by the pawls 26b, 27b, and 27b formed on those holding members 26, 27, and 28 and the supports 21. After moving the drive unit 14 to the engaging position by using the drive power of the first power transmission to turn the drive unit 14 clockwise, the first and second holding member switching components 403, 505 are operated, and the holding members 26, 27, and 28 turn by their moving power to the position where the disk D can be released.
