PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the outer diameter of a water-sealed submerged motor pump. SOLUTION: A heat exchanger 13 is equipped with a straight discharge pipe 82 one end of which is connected to a discharge side of a pump part 11, the other end of which is connected to a pumping liquid pipe 4 and which is provided with a discharge flow passage 83 keeping pumping liquid passing therethrough and a heat transfer pipe group 84 laid in the discharge flow passage 83 to make primary cooling liquid pass through. The pump contains the straight primary cooling liquid outlet pipe 81 extending along the pump part 11 which connects a primary cooling liquid outlet 26c from inside of a motor frame 26 covering the overall length of a submerged motor 12 with an inlet side of the heat transfer pipe group 84. The inside of the peripheral wall part 26a of the motor frame 26 is provided with a primary cooling liquid passage 26b one end of which is connected to the primary cooling liquid outlet 26c to the inside of the motor frame 26. A straight primary cooling liquid inlet pipe 80 extending along the pump part 11 which connects the outlet side of the heat transfer pipe group 84 to the other end of the primary cooling liquid passage 26b.
