<p>A method of manufacturing a liquid crystal display device improving the arrangement accuracy of a spacer at the time of arranging the spacer by an inkjet method, thereby enhancing the accuracy of the thickness of the liquid crystal layer (cell gap), and improving the display definition, and a liquid crystal display device manufactured by using the same. The method is used for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device having a pair of substrates which are opposed to each other, with spacers and a liquid crystal layer interposed therebetween. The pair of the substrates have a recessed part in the opposed surface of at least one of the substrates. The manufacturing method comprises a step of applying a coating liquid containing the spacers in the vicinity of the recessed part in the substrate by an inkjet method, and the liquid crystal display device is manufactured by using the same.</p> |
