<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an active matrix type display device provided with a spontaneous light emitting element capable of adjusting gradation without being accompanied by the degradation of video images due to image persistence of a display. <P>SOLUTION: The display device is provided with a display part for which pixel parts for controlling the intensity of light generated by an electrooptic device are arranged on a matrix, a data driver for supplying data to a data line and a gate driver for supplying selection signals to a gate line. The display device is provided with a controller 8 including a video data processing part 20 for outputting video data to the respective pixel parts, a correction data processing part 21 for calculating and outputting correction data on the basis of the video data to the respective pixel parts or the output history of the video data, and a multiplxer 22 for dividing the display period of one frame in the display part into a video period and a correction period and switching and outputting the data so as to display the video data in the video period and display the correction data in the correction period. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
