<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a grip portion 48 from influencing an image reading section by bending in an image forming device to which an image forming section and an image reading section are connected through joint members. <P>SOLUTION: The joint member 40 is covered with a side cover 42 having a second concavity 43 formed as if to follow a first concavity 41 formed in the joint member 40, whereby the grip portion 48 is formed of the first concavity 41 and the second concavity 43. Consequently the grip portion 48 is formed of the joint member 40 and the side cover 42 and becomes a double structure, which helps increase the mechanical strength of the grip portion 48. Consequently the grip portion 48 can be prevented from greatly warping, and the bending of the grip portion 48 can prevent the image reading section from getting influenced by the resultant strain. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
