PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display for displaying coloring by display color making each segment a target. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display is composed of a light source part 30, a color switching part 40 for selectively transmitting coloring light which is mutually different, a display switching part 50 for switching whether the colored light transmits to the outside, and a protection substrate 60 for protecting a front. Therein, the color switching part 40 is arranged at a position corresponding to the segment 21, and arranges a color polarizing plate 41 in which first colored light L1 having a light source color in a prescribed polarization direction out of beams of light emitted from the light source part 30 is transmitted and second colored light L2 having different colors from the first colored light L1 in a polarizing direction orthogonal to the prescribed polarizing direction is transmitted, and a color switching liquid crystal panel 42 for sealing a liquid crystal across a pair of transparent substrates and selectively transmitting the colored light L1 and the second colored light L2 in response to a voltage application state between the transparent substrates in a laminated state.
