PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for measuring rotational accuracy, capable of evaluating whether the relative angles among three displacement sensors are accurate, capable of correcting unevenness in the rotation of a rotating shaft, capable of evaluating whether the center positions of the displacement sensors are directed to the same measuring part on the rotating shaft, and consequently capable of effectively and readily taking advantage of the properties of the three-point method for measuring the rotational accuracy of the rotating shaft. SOLUTION: This method relates to the measurement of the rotational accuracy of a measuring object, which is performed by measuring the rotational movement of the measuring object with the probes of the three noncontact-type displacement sensors, arranged so that their respective center positions are located on the same rotation locus on the external perimeter of the measuring object which rotates, processing the output signals of the displacement sensors including the rotational accuracy components of the measuring object and its shape components, and separating the shape components. In the method, unevenness in the rotational speed of the rotation in the output signals of the displacement sensors are corrected before the processing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
