PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for specifying the place of a focusing capable of freely specifying the place of the focusing by a simple operation, an image sensing device, and a program. SOLUTION: When the left upper section of a clip button is depressed under the state of a through-display in Fig. 6(a), an AF frame 51 disappears, and a red cursor 52 is moved in the left upper direction (the face of a woman). When a finger is detached from the clip button at the place of the cursor in Fig. 6(b); the place of the cursor 52 at a time when the finger is detached is used as the specified place of the focusing, and an automatic focusing is started so as to conduct the focusing at the place. When a clip operation is conducted during a focusing processing, a display in Fig. 6(e) is conducted. When the focusing processing is completed and the focusing is performed at the place (=the face of the woman) of the start of the focusing in Fig. 6(c), the cursor 52 is displayed in a green color.
