PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform reproduction display without sense of incongruity in an imaging device. SOLUTION: A user performs press operation of a reproduction mode button. If an auto-play mode is not selected, then the device becomes a frame proceeding reproduction mode. Image data are read out from a memory card at each time if the user pushes a left end or right end of a zoom button, and the image of a posture at a time of imaging is reproduced and displayed on an LCD (liquid crystal display). If carrying out press operation of a menu/execute button from the frame proceeding reproduction mode and selecting the auto-play mode, image data and the additional information are read out in an order of imaging from the memory card in a fixed time interval. A horizontal posture image photographed in a horizontal posture is reproduced and displayed in a horizontal posture as it is without carrying out any image processing to the image data on the LCD in a fixed time interval each. Moreover, a vertical posture image photographed in a vertical posture is rotated so that the image is seen to rightly stand, and is reproduced and displayed on the LCD in a fixed time interval each.
