PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for extracting highly precise traffic information out of acquired traffic information to be used in navigation processing, by a simple method, even in a navigation system using up-to-date traffic information as its principle. SOLUTION: This navigation device is provided with a navigation means for conducting the navigation processing using the up-to-date traffic information out of the acquired traffic information. The navigation means however uses the traffic information resulting from a probe car, in the navigation processing, irrespective of the propriety with the up-to-date one, when the traffic information resulting from the probe car generated using information collected by the probe car, and the traffic information that is the traffic information acquired after acquiring the traffic information resulting from the probe car and that is generated not using the information collected by the probe car, are contained in the acquired traffic information, and when the traffic information resulting from the probe car is acquired within a prescribed period.
