PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker easy to clean while having an improved appearance, wherein dust is not easily accumulated around a handle. SOLUTION: In this circuit breaker 1, the operating handle 10 is formed by a main body part 10c having a shaft part 10a journaled to a case 2, and a handle part 10d extended on the main body part 10c and projected from an opening part 2a formed on the top face of the case 2 to switch on and off an electric path from the outside, and the operating handle is provided so as to freely fall and rise in the manner that the handle part 10d falls when it is at the ON position, and the handle part 10d rises when it is at the OFF position. This circuit breaker is formed so that when the operating handle 10 is at the ON position, the whole handle part 10d is fitted in the opening part 2a and its outside surface becomes almost flush with the top face of the opening part 2a of the case 2 to cover the opening part, and when the operating handle 10 is at the OFF position, the main body part 10c excluding the handle part 10d becomes almost flush with the top face of the opening part 2a of the case 2 to cover the opening part 2a.
