PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an automatic brake control in a truck or a bus. SOLUTION: A stepwise brake control is automatically performed when TTC obtained according to a relative distance and a relative speed between the own vehicle and an object is lower than a predetermined value, and a brake control gradually increasing a brake force over a plurality of stages in time series is performed. In this case, the operation execution state relative to the vehicle of a driver is detected, and when this detected result does not satisfy a predetermined condition, the set value is raised.
