PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rocket and a rocket firing method using an aircraft capable of avoiding pitch-up to an aircraft at the time of launchinging, launching a large spacecraft vehicle in an orbit, or launching the spacecraft vehicle in a higher orbit even when the weight is almost identical to the loading weight of an aircraft. SOLUTION: This rocket 1 is provided with a spacecraft vehicle, transported to a high air by an aircraft, and fired in the air at a predetermined altitude. The rocket comprises a main rocket part 3 mounting the spacecraft vehicle, an auxiliary rocket part 4 providing a propelling force to the main rocket part 3, a parachute 5 connected to the auxiliary rocket part 4, and a cord 6 connecting the main rocket part 3 with the auxiliary rocket part 4. Upon completion of draw-out of the auxiliary rocket part 4 from a rear cargo door 13 by the parachute 5 at a predetermined altitude, the length of the cord 6 is set so as to start draw-out of the main rocket part 3 from the rear cargo door 13.
