Process for coating a metal component surface of a valve device for controlling a fluid volume stream, especially an injector housing with a corrosion protection coating, which is cleaned before coating and dried after coating. The coating is obtained by wetting the surface with an aqueous solution containing a silane monomer derivative where the monomer is converted to a polymer during wetting and final drying. The process involves 7 steps, i.e. a precleaning stage (S1), a cleaning step (S2) including ultrasonic treatment, rinsing step (S3, S4), induction drying step (S6) and cooling step (S7).
