<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information collecting system for determining the validity of individual piece of information by receiving the same information provided from a plurality of users. <P>SOLUTION: The information collecting system is composed of an information collecting device 101, information providing devices 102a-102c, and a store 103. The information providing device 102a transmits provided information input by an operating means 111, user information recorded in a recording means 110, and store information received from the store 103, as transmit information to the information collecting device. The information collecting device temporarily records the information received from the information providing device, in a memory 106.
