PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal apparatus capable of preventing mistransmission of a facsimile document without causing an operation stop due to non-reception of a calling terminal identification signal. SOLUTION: The apparatus discriminates whether having received an acknowledgement signal from a transmission destination terminal, and stores ID information included in the acknowledgement signal when receiving the acknowledgement signal (steps 105, 106). Then the apparatus discriminates whether having acquired a kana (Japanese syllabary) ID and a facsimile number of a transmission destination, displays the acquired ID when the facsimile number can be acquired and displays a confirmation button as to whether the facsimile document is to be transmitted when the kana ID and the facsimile number can be acquired (steps 107 to 110). Further, when the ID information cannot be acquired, since a fact of disabled acquisition of the ID and the confirmation button as to whether the facsimile document is to be transmitted are displayed (step 111), the apparatus can transmit image data after confirming the transmission destination and can continue communication without stopping its operation even when the ID cannot be acquired.
