A package (500) includes a slide card (400) that can be releasably locked in an outer sleeve (12). The slide card (400) includes an engaging tab (420) that provides part of a locking mechanism that is used to lock the slide card (400) in the outer sleeve (12). A support element (312) is positioned and secured to the slide card (400) to maintain the resilience of the slide card (400) at a hinged connection between the engaging tab (420) and a base panel (422) along a fold line (430). The support element (312) is dimensioned and positioned to define a minimum angle (X) between the engaging tab (420) and the base panel (422). Thereby, the resiliency of the slide card (400) is not compromised as the engaging tab (420) is repeatedly folded or depressed toward the base panel (422).
