The invention relates to a method for use in a packet-switched communication system, the method comprising sending a plurality of data packets from a source node to a destination node; sending an acknowledgement from the destination node to the source node for each packet indicating whether each data packet has been correctly received; and determining a rate at which to transmit each of said data packets from the source node to the destination node on the basis of the received acknowledgements relating to each of the previously transmitted data packets in said plurality of packets.
