A method for forming an object made from ice comprises introducing a pipe arrangement into a volume of water and then circulating a coolant through the pipes so that ice becomes deposited on the outside of the pipes in order to form the object. Independent claims are also included for objects such as ice sculptures, ice caves, molds or matrices produced by this method and for objects produced using one of these molds or matrices.
