An adjustable seat unit (3) for a baby stroller comprises a seat, a pair of rotatable members (2), and a one-hand adjusting mechanism (6). The pair of rotatable members (2), comprising internally toothed or splined elements, are rotatably mounted on both sides of the seat unit (3), and associated with other internally splined elements (34) on the seat unit. A pair of connectors (21) detachably insert within a pair of holder sockets, each holder socket (11, figure 1) being firmly mounted on either side of a frame (10, figure 1) for a baby stroller. A clutch assembly in the form of an externally splined member (41) is movably received and engaged inside the rotatable member, and is moved out of engagement with the rotatable member (2) by operating a one-hand adjusting mechanism (6) and thereby a flexible element (62) such as a cable. When the clutch assembly is disengaged, the inclination of the seat may be altered. A resilient member, such as a spring (5) urges the clutch into engagement to lock the seat in its new position. |
