PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make picture data transmitted from communication parties displayed on a monitor screen by dividing the monitor screen in accordance with the number of people in the communication parties. SOLUTION: When a monitor 13 is turned on, a picture of the list of the opposite party is displayed on the monitor 13. A picture of the other party is photographed in advance by, for example, a digital camera and uses a still image of the other party stored in a memory of a control part 16. Next, plural registration numbers of the other party are selected by an operation of a key 15. Then, a picture of the monitor 13 is divided into a dial number detected. On this divided screen are displayed a name of the called, the telephone number and so on. Thus, the number of divided screens of the monitor 13 of a video telephone terminal is set in accordance with the number of people connected to the video telephone terminal used for a video telephone system. This screen division processing is executed by the control part 16. |
