PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of rust as precision and smooth slide operation of a serration part are secured. SOLUTION: In this assembly structure, an intermediate shaft upper 13 and a steering shaft 9 are held by a joint 24, and fixing is effected by two bolts 25 and 26 so that coupling is prevented from uncoupling. In a temporary lock state, slide over the smooth surface of the plane part 32 of the intermediate shaft upper 13 is practicable in the axial direction of the intermediate shaft upper 13, and the joint 24 is slidable over the intermediate shaft upper 13. A male serration part 42 is not exposed even when the intermediate shaft upper 13 is slid to a movement end. A small part 42 is connected to the male serration part 42. This small part 43 is formed in the same diameter as the bottom diameter of the male serration part 42 or a diameter less than that and a size in an axial direction is increased to a value higher than a slide length. |
