When connecting a mobile information terminal to a communication network via a public access point, a user of the mobile information terminal is undesirably required to input detailed information for connection to the communication network via a poor input interface. In order to solve this problem, the information acquisition function receives network connection setting information from a setting information distribution server which distributes network connection setting information which is information indicative of settings of connections with communication networks.
