<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic medium which solves problems concerned with initial values of data stored in a data area. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic medium has a rewritable data memory part and a control part for access to the data memory part and sends and receives data to and from an external device; and the data memory part stores area definition information in which a plurality data areas for storing the data and start addresses and sizes of the data area are defined by the data areas and also stores initial value information indicating what value data in the data area defined in the area definition information have as initial values additionally to the area definition information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
