A grab rail/side cot attachment for a mattress elevator can be secured to the head end or the foot end of the elevator, or a combination of both. One end of the grab rail/side cot attachment is secured to the elevator by a clamp 8; the other end has a tube which is received within a hollow tube 7 of the elevator frame. The hollow tube 7 is an extension of a pivot tube 9 about which the head end 4 of the elevator pivots. The arrangement allows the grab rail/cot side to move with the elevator as a mattress is elevated. |
