A water-soluble or dispersible, hydrolytically stable polysaccharide selected from the group consisting galactomannan, xylo-glucan or a mixture thereof. Which is covalently linked by a hydrolytically stable bond to a first polymeric textile softening species (typically a silicone) and optionally emulsified with a second polymeric textile softening species. The specification also discloses laundry treatment composition comprising these compositions.
