A system and a method for processing subscriber terminals having the same MAC address are provided to allow subscriber terminals having the same MAC address on a single sub-net to be normally connected with a network. When subscriber terminals(11,18) having the same MAC address are connected, a layer 2 switch(21) allocates a temporary MAC address or a previously received unique MAC address to a later connected subscriber terminal, and performs frame exchange on the corresponding subscriber terminal by using the temporary MAC address. A control server(23) controls a network connection with respect to the subscriber terminal, and if the subscriber terminal uses the temporary MAC address when network connection authentication is performed on the subscriber terminal, the control server(25) generates the unique MAC address and provides it to the layer 2 switch(21). |
