Use of antiprogestins for prophylaxis and treatment of hormone-dependent diseases

Disclosed herein is a use of the antiprogestin 11beta-(4-acetylphenyl)-17beta-hydroxy- 17alpha-(1,1,2,2,2-pentafluoroethyl)-estra-4,9-dien-3-one or a pharmaceutically acceptable derivative or analogue thereof for the manufacture of a medicament for the prophylaxis of a type of cancer selected from the group of breast cancer, ovarian cancer, endometrial cancer, myeloma, anovulatory infertility and/or meningoma in a mammal.
