The method involves associating avionics equipments from which memory segments are to be copied and verification tests to be carried out, with each of a set of detectable failures. The association is stored under the form of a matrix, and the detected failures are built-in test equipment maintenance messages emitted by the avionics equipments. The memory segments are copied, and the equipments are verified. An independent claim is also included for an aerodyne failure validation system.
