<p>A voice inducement device and a controlling method are provided to detect exact electric field strength by properly controlling the receive sensitivity of radio waves received from a remote controller, based on a predetermined numerical value, thereby outputting an announcement when the distance between the device and the remote controller is within a preset dynamic range. A dynamic range storage stores dynamic range data used for determining an announcement voice for the visually impaired and whether the announcement voice is broadcast. A dynamic range control switch(141) selects random dynamic range data among the dynamic range data. A receive sensitivity controller(128) controls an SNR(Signal to Noise Ratio) into a predetermined ratio, from a signal received from a remote controller which delivers a voice inducement signal. An electric field strength detector(127) detects electric field strength from the ratio-controlled signal. A microcomputer(110) obtains the distance between the remote controller and a voice inducement device based on the field strength, and controls so that the announcement voice is broadcast through a speaker(195) when the obtained distance is within a dynamic range selected by the switch(141).</p> |
