The articulated shaft comprises two outer sections (2, 3) attached to a central connecting shaft (4) by ball races. The inner and outer rings of these are formed by the inner surfaces (8a, 9e) of the end sections and the outer surfaces (8g, 9d) of the connecting shaft. An independent claim is included for ball races as described.
