#CMT# #/CMT# The vehicle has a cab interior covered by a rigid retractable roof, and a rear trunk with a trunk lid movable between close and open positions. Two actuators e.g. electric jacks, are provided to move the lid and the roof, and are controlled by control units (50) to deploy and/or fold the roof by synchronizing the movement of the roof with that of the lid. The positions of the roof and the lid are given respectively by potentiometers (26, 38) providing signals representative of the degree of deployment/folding of the roof and the degree of opening of the lid. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Motor vehicle e.g. retractable hardtop. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The use of the potentiometer to detect the degree of deployment of the roof permits to activate the closing of the trunk lid as soon as the roof reaches a degree of deployment sufficient for not interfering with the movements of the lid. The degree of deployment corresponds to a partial deployment of the roof, so that at the end of the deployment, the movable roof and the lid are moved simultaneously, thus reducing the time for deployment and folding of the roof. The installation of the potentiometer to detect the degree of opening of the trunk lid also allows to start the folding of the roof and the opening of the trunk simultaneously, which further reduces the time.
