Bilayer pharmaceutical tablet comprising the angiotensin II receptor antagonist telmisartan and a diuretic

A bilayer pharmaceutical tablet is disclosed, which comprises a first layer comprising telmisartan in substantially amorphous form in a dissolving tablet matrix, and comprising a basic agent, and a second layer comprising a diuretic selected from hydrochlorothiazide, furosemide, chlorotalidone, piretanide and amiloride in a disintegrating tablet matrix. A method of producing the bilayer tablet is also disclosed.
