<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve efficiency of energy saving furthermore by cutting a primary-side power consumption of a power supply device in the case that it is unnecessary to operate a cooling fan of the power supply device in a standby state, a energy saving state, or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The power supply device includes a cooling fan 25, a temperature detection means 26, a first power supply circuit 22 for supplying power to at least a control system load 16, a second power supply circuit 23 for supplying power to a driving system load 17-2 relating to an image forming job and the cooling fan 25.
