<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent settings of a printer and a printer driver from becoming values different from each other. <P>SOLUTION: When it is determined which head is mounted in a printer (S321), a cartridge setting of the printer driver is obtained (S322) to determine whether the cartridge designation of the driver is identical with the mounted head (S323).
