PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device capable of providing favorable operating feeling in operation of a lever body and capable of maintaining a clamping state of a steering column. SOLUTION: This steering device is furnished with a bracket 6 mounted on a car body and having clamping leg pieces 6a, 6a, the steering column 2 clamped by the leg pieces 6a, 6a free to adjust a tilt angle and the rotatable lever body 4 to add clamping force to the steering column 2 and is devised to add resistance to rotation of the lever body 4 by being engaged with the lever body 4, to mount a flexible body 5 to deflect in a direction to intersect a rotating direction of the lever body 4 on the steering column 2 in a cantilever manner, rotating the lever body 4 by climbing over the flexible body 5 and clamping the steering column 2 at a climbed-over position.
