PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform marking automatically to an appropriate position according to the situation, or the like of photographing, when setting the marking to recording data. SOLUTION: When a captured image is being recorded, the situation of zoom operation, the moving pattern of a camera, the amount of feature of video/audio signals, and the like are monitored, thus detecting a point in time when a prescribed change occurs for the monitored state. A prescribed data position with the detected point in time as a reference is set as a marking position.
