PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a defroster device of an automobile having an upper side duct part connected to a draft hole of an instrument panel and a lower side duct part connected to an air discharge opening of an air conditioner, discharging the air flown out from the air discharge opening from the draft hole of the instrument panel through the lower side duct part and the upper side duct part and blowing it against a windshield glass and absorbing energy by largely deforming the upper side duct part and the lower side duct part when a human body hits the windshield glass. SOLUTION: The upper side duct part 5 and the lower side duct part 6 are connected to each other through an integral hinge 13, the lower side duct part 6 is constituted of a front side part 14 and a rear side part 15, and the upper side duct part 5 is revolved to the rear side around the integral hinge 13, the front side part 14 and the rear side part 15 of the lower side duct part 6 are separated from each other in the longitudinal direction and the upper side duct part 5 is made to enter between them when the human body hits the windshield glass 1.
