PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an experienced inspector is required because the joining position of a stiffener to a bead in a bead with the stiffener is determined to be acceptable or not by visual inspection by an inspector, inevitable fluctuation in determination occurs in determination because the criterion of the determination differs according to inspectors, and an error sometimes occurs in determination by the inspectors. SOLUTION: The bead inspecting apparatus is used for inspecting the joining position of a stiffener 6 to the bead 5 of a bead 2 with a stiffener in which the bead 5 is joined to a stiffener 6, and is provided with light sources 3a, 3b for irradiating inspection objects 20a, 20b at the side face of the bead with the stiffener with light, cameras 4a and 4b each picking up the image of the inspection object irradiated with light and a determination means 7 for deciding the joining position based on the image picked up by the camera.
