PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily recognize the imaging period when a remarked image is present. SOLUTION: The image display device 4 comprises a control part 15 with an image display control part 15a and an image processing control part 15b. The image display control part 15a executes the control to display a time bar 27 as a time scale indicating the imaging period of a series of in-vivo images, a landmark button 29 as a means for adding mark information to a main display image 23 displayed in a main display area 22 to indicate that the image is the remarked image, and in addition, to display a display area before or after the imaging time on the time bar 27 based on the imaging time of the remarked image, to which the mark information is added, in such a way as can be discriminated from other display areas. The image processing control part 15b obtains image data stored in a portable recording medium 5 or in a storage part 14 and outputs the image data to an image processing part 13, and controls various processes for the output image.
