A bank-note (BN) (11) goes through a slot in a counterfeit-protection device and then through a guide bar (12) with a curved shape for checking a bar (13) and the BN with an optical detector device (14) for identifying this BN. If identified as a real BN, it goes into a collecting box (15). If identified as counterfeit, it passes out of a dispensing aperture or out of the insertion slot. An independent claim is also included for a device for identifying foreign bodies.
