<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To break a main score all the way along its circumference even if the area of an opening is made large. <P>SOLUTION: The upper face 10a of the body of a can lid has a rivet 11 projecting upward, and the opening 14 defined by the main score 13. A tab 15 is attached to the rivet 11 so that its one end 15a covers the opening 14. By pulling the other end 15b of the tab 15 upward, the other end 15a presses the opening 15 downward, thereby breaking the main score 13 and admitting the passage of the opening 14.
