<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow overall regeneration of an NOx storage reduction catalyst to be efficiently advanced by uniformly providing a fuel added in an exhaust gas to a catalyst surface of the NOx storage reduction catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: In relation to this exhaust emission control device composed by interposing the the NOx storage reduction catalyst 12 in an intermediate part of an outlet pipe (exhaust passage) 11 for guiding an exhaust gas 9 from an engine 1 and provided, in the outlet pipe (exhaust passage) 11 on the upstream side of the the NOx storage reduction catalyst 12, with a fuel addition device (fuel addition means) 13 for adding a fuel as a reducing agent, a diffusion plate 15 for facilitating dispersion of the added fuel by diffusing the exhaust gas 9 is arranged between a fuel addition position by the fuel addition device 13 and the NOx storage reduction catalyst 12. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
